Collapsible Magnetic Box

Also known as: Folding magnetic box, flat-pack rigid box

A collapsible magnetic box is a single strip of board — front wall, base, back wall, lid and lid flap — plus two side walls. Triangular corner gussets connect the walls: they lie flat as a square when the box is set up and fold inwards when it collapses.

Because it ships flat it takes little space in transport and storage and cuts stock costs significantly. Once set up it looks almost identical to a classic magnetic box.

What you can customise

Every pack is made to order for your product and brand. Each of the points below is decided together at the quotation stage.

Tape quality: Standard or 3M-grade imported tape; it directly affects box life and price.
Ribbon: Optional ribbon on the flap, fixed to a reinforced layer rather than a single sheet of paper.
Size: Inner dimensions are set to your product to the millimetre; you are not limited to stock sizes.
Board thickness: Chosen for the weight and feel of the box; we recommend 1.5, 1.8 and 2 mm and use imported board where possible.
Wrapping paper: Coated, kraft, textured specialty papers or book cloth; outer and inner surfaces can be chosen separately.
Print and finish: Offset print, matte/gloss lamination, hot foil, embossing and spot UV can be added one by one.
Inside surface: A plain white/black or a printed interior changes the cost noticeably; it should be specified in the brief.
Insert: Foam, cardboard dividers or EVA keep the product fixed inside the box.
