Folding Cartons
Two-Piece Shirt Box
Also known as: Folding carton lid and base box
The two-piece shirt box consists of a base and a lid that slides over it. Both parts are cut from a single layer of paperboard and their corner tabs are glued inward on a top-gluing machine. Even so, they do not ship assembled: the glued corners fold along a diagonal crease, so base and lid ship flat and open up in seconds.
With no rigid board it is lighter and more economical than a rigid lid-and-base box. It is common for shirts, textiles and gifts.

What you can customise
Every pack is made to order for your product and brand. Each of the points below is decided together at the quotation stage.
- Size
- Width, depth and height are set to your product; a few millimetres of flexibility can reduce waste by fitting the blank better on the sheet.
- Board
- Paperboard coated on one side (bristol), coated paper, or white-front grey-back board; the weight is chosen for the product.
- Offset (CMYK) or UV print; the inside can be printed too.
- Finishes
- Matte or gloss lamination, varnish, hot foil and embossing; each affects strength as well as looks.
- Window
- An open or film-covered window can be cut to show the product.
