Auto Bottom Box
Also known as: Crash lock bottom, auto-lock bottom
The auto bottom box uses the same blank as the snap lock bottom; the difference is that the base flaps are glued at the factory. The box is delivered flat and the base snaps into place as soon as it is opened.
It is the fastest to set up, preferred for high-volume filling lines and heavier products. Because side and bottom gluing are done together, gluing costs a little more than side-glued models. The corrugated version is on the Corrugated Auto-Bottom Box page.

What you can customise
Every pack is made to order for your product and brand. Each of the points below is decided together at the quotation stage.
- Size
- Width, depth and height are set to your product; a few millimetres of flexibility can reduce waste by fitting the blank better on the sheet.
- Board
- Paperboard coated on one side (bristol), coated paper, or white-front grey-back board; the weight is chosen for the product.
- Offset (CMYK) or UV print; the inside can be printed too.
- Finishes
- Matte or gloss lamination, varnish, hot foil and embossing; each affects strength as well as looks.
- Window
- An open or film-covered window can be cut to show the product.
