Snap Lock Bottom Box
Also known as: 1-2-3 bottom, lock bottom box
In a snap lock bottom the base is not glued: four flaps are folded in by hand and lock into each other. It carries far more weight than a tucked bottom, so it is chosen for heavier products such as bottles and jars.
The top is usually a tuck lid. The box arrives flat and the bottom locks in seconds during set-up. The corrugated version is on the Corrugated Snap Lock Bottom Box page.

What you can customise
Every pack is made to order for your product and brand. Each of the points below is decided together at the quotation stage.
- Size
- Width, depth and height are set to your product; a few millimetres of flexibility can reduce waste by fitting the blank better on the sheet.
- Board
- Paperboard coated on one side (bristol), coated paper, or white-front grey-back board; the weight is chosen for the product.
- Offset (CMYK) or UV print; the inside can be printed too.
- Finishes
- Matte or gloss lamination, varnish, hot foil and embossing; each affects strength as well as looks.
- Window
- An open or film-covered window can be cut to show the product.
